Gun laws have become a hot topic in our country for the past several years and will continue to create friction between people. It is a common belief that the crime rate is rising in our country but it is the exact opposite violent crime rates have been going down ever since the colonial days. It may seem like crime rates are rising because of all the news we get of bad things happening but really it is just because in the old days there was not phones which make it so easy to share something to the world in seconds. It is one thing to now when the crime rate is going down or up because you can tell how many crimes are committed and the population but can you tell how gun laws have affected the crime rate in America. Is it to complicated to know if the crime rate is going done due to gun laws. Or if less gun laws means less crime or should guns just be eliminated period. People say that there are only three options when it comes to gun laws That higher gun ownership rate will cause an increase in the crime rate, Higher gun ownership will cause a decrease in crime rate, and that there is no relationship between gun ownership and crime. There are many different opinions and studies supporting all sides but there is no one sure definite choice that is right.
